Bio
Andy Gbormittah is a freelance engineer, sound designer and composer with vast experience working on projects with varying budgets. He is fuelled by helping clients create impactful content and has a passion for powerful storytelling. He brings a wealth of experience across diverse media formats.
Education & Experience
Born, raised and educated in London, Andy left SAE Institute in 2012 with a BSc in Audio Engineering. He quickly established himself as a versatile and dependable engineer.
He later moved onto a management and lead engineer role at the Shoreditch Grind recording studio. Hosting Sam Smith, FKA Twigs, Pixie Lott, Tinie Tempah, The Hurts and many more, Shoreditch Grind was the first choice for many labels and artists to write, record, mix and master in a fully catered, international-grade studio.
Audio Engineering & Sound Designing
Andy works on a range of content (both long and short form) for broadcast and digital campaigns - including mixing, sound design, editing, podcast creation and music production (delivering mixes to various loudness standards ‐ EBU R128, ITU 1770, etc).

Composing
Andy has written, recorded and produced custom compositions for TV, film & digital content. His first duo ‘Silence & Air’ released their debut album ‘Solo’ (published by 1631 Recordings) in 2018 and has since garnered over 25 million streams across digital platforms. The duo also wrote music for Versace, Toyota, Netflix, HBO and many more.
His sync collective Gravitate Music has written for Nike, Levi’s, EA Sports, Formula E, Maserati and many more - collectively amassing 200+ million views across social platforms.
